Wel.Co announces new childcare centre in Harlowe
Families will soon have access to a brand-new childcare centre at Wel.Co’s master planned community Harlowe in Huntly, designed to meet the needs of the area’s rapidly growing young family population.
Wel.Co has partnered with a leading national childcare operator with over 20 years of experience to design and deliver a class-leading facility.
Founder and Managing Director of Wel.Co Andrew Welsh says the new facility is a crucial step in delivering Harlowe’s vision as a thriving, family-focused community.
“Our vision for Harlowe is to create a thriving, family-friendly community where young families have everything they need to grow and flourish,” Welsh says.
“This new childcare centre, combined with our parks, playgrounds, and open spaces, will ensure Harlowe is the perfect place for first-home buyers and growing families.”

The purpose-built centre will off er over 100 places and feature modern, age-appropriate learning spaces, a welcoming community hub, and sustainable outdoor play areas, including custom forts, nature gardens, and mud kitchens.
The centre is being designed to not only nurture children’s early educational journey but also to foster a sense of belonging and connection for families in the Harlowe community.
Recognising the growing demand for childcare services in Bendigo and Huntly, the new centre is set to deliver critical support to families.
Huntly is one of Greater Bendigo’s fastest-growing suburbs and is estimated to have increased residents by 14 per cent since 2021. Nearly 10% of the population is under the age of five, almost double the state average.
Harlowe is already home to a flourishing community and upon completion, will be home to approx. 1200 residents. The estate features 450 lots, ranging in size from 300 sqm to 1,1125 sqm, to accommodate a variety of lifestyles.
As part of Wel.Co’s commitment to supporting young families, Harlowe purchasers will be offered preferential placement at the new childcare centre, giving residents peace of mind that they’ll have access to quality early education close to home.
