Precision Group engaged Architects bureau^proberts and Interior Designers S.SHYNE to create the vision and worked closely with renowned Heritage Architect Ruth Woods to ensure the plans honoured the historical site.

Located on a 924sqm site behind and over iconic Brisbane venue, The Victory Hotel, the proposed 16,000sqm tower would deliver 284 rooms and amenities including restaurants, a public rooftop bar offering panoramic city and river views, and hotel pool on the 40th storey.

Precision Group Founder and CEO Shaun Bonett says Brisbane’s upcoming role as host city for the 2032 Olympic and Paralympic Games had created an opportunity for a new high-quality hotel in the CBD.

“In the lead up to the games, there is a growing need for new accommodation offerings, in particular those that can capitalise on well connected, under-utilised infill sites within the city,” Bonett says.

“We’ve drawn on the look and feel of the much-loved Victory Hotel to create what is ultimately a unique and contemporary urban landmark – one that supports Brisbane’s evolving tourism infrastructure ahead of the Games while still celebrating the sites historic roots.”

The tower is lifted six storeys above the ground, allowing the heritage pub to remain visually and spatially dominant from street level.

The new plans follow the recent approval of a refurbishment of the Victory Hotel which will transform it into four separate venues including a sports bar and beer garden, rooftop garden bar, steak house restaurant, and a basement speak easy style bar with gaming room.

“This tower is a natural evolution of the Victory’s refurbishment, adding new layers hospitality and other mixed-use offerings around the existing building and forming an elevated destination that extends the hospitality aspect of the pub vertically,” Bonett says.

Pending development approval, the Victory Tower is planned for completion prior to 2032 with the approved refurbishment works set to commence in the second quarter of 2026.
