Help rewrite architectural history with Women Wikipedia Design
Women architects to debate gender equity in architecture

Parlour and Monash University are once again requesting you join their quest to have a diverse and wide range of women in architecture written into Wikipedia by joining them 11 October for a writing workshop.

WikiD: women, Wikipedia, design is an international education and advocacy program born as an idea to increase the representation of women in the built environment on Wikipedia.

The initiative was launched by Parlour, Architexx (New York) and n-ails (Berlin) back in March, and in Australia has culminated in a host of Australian “Wikiparties” since, including two hosted by Sibling (Melbourne) and The NSW Architects Registration Board (Sydney) on International Women’s Day, March 8.

The Monash Art Design and Architecture (MADA) faculty will host an Australian wikiD writers workshop on Sunday, 11 October from 1:00– 5:00pm and have asked that those wishing to participate to get on board.

Melbourne: Sunday, October 11, 1–5pm

Room F2.22, MADA, Monash University, Caulfield Campus

The day will start with a presentation about how to write and edit Wikipedia entries, before participants can begin writing as many entries as possible.

Parlour as that you bring your laptop and, if you can manage it, a small plate to share.
