Mirvac has unveiled the transformation of 400 George Street, completing a major upgrade of the Sydney CBD office tower that has already attracted more than 10,000sqm of new leasing commitments over the past 12 months, highlighting strong demand for premium, well-connected workspaces in a central location.

Delivered in partnership with M&G Real Estate, the refurbishment forms part of Mirvac's strategy to enhance customer experience by introducing upgraded amenities, improved connectivity and flexible shared spaces tailored to the evolving needs of modern businesses.

The 30-storey, 50,000sqm building has been reconfigured to create a stronger arrival experience, with a redesigned ground-floor lobby featuring concierge services, a new café and expanded food and beverage offerings. A new through-site pedestrian link also improves connections between George Street, Sydney Arcade and Pitt Street Mall.

Additional upgrades include shared meeting facilities, a dedicated wellness space and enhanced end-of-trip amenities designed to support employee wellbeing and workplace flexibility.

As part of the refurbishment, the lobby will feature a new digital artwork by Jerrinja and Djirringanj, Yuin artist Aaron William Kennedy. Titled ‘WADHA GWIYAALA NANGU’ (Where the Stingrays Rest), the work explores the relationship between Sydney Harbour and the Gadigal people, creating a stronger connection to Country throughout the building. Additional commissioned artworks have also been incorporated into the meeting rooms and the King Street entrance.

The building’s transformation as well as its location has drawn a diverse mix of new tenants, including Databricks, Gilchrist Connell, DoorDash, The Executive Centre, Beca, Veeva Systems, The Grand Café and Harvey’s Hot Sandwiches.
