The Living Future Institute of Australia has officially rebranded as Living Future Oceania, marking a major step forward in its mission to accelerate regenerative design across Australia and Aotearoa New Zealand.

The organisation will now operate under its new identity across both countries, supporting the people and projects shaping a regenerative built environment. Through programs that champion innovative building practices and healthy materials, Living Future Oceania advocates for development that delivers positive outcomes for both people and the planet.

Since its establishment in 2012, the organisation has worked closely with industry partners throughout Australia to promote projects that move beyond sustainability benchmarks and exemplify best practice in action. The transition to Living Future Oceania builds on this foundation while signalling a new phase of deeper regional collaboration and expanded ambition.

The rebrand is accompanied by a refreshed visual identity and updated website, reflecting the organisation’s growing capacity and commitment to greater impact across the region.

The governance has also been strengthened with the appointment of two new board members, Ewan Brown, Director of Tennent Brown Architects, and Tricia Love, Director of Tricia Love Consultants, both bringing extensive experience in Living Future programs and regenerative practice within the Aotearoa context.

“This evolution has been thoughtful and intentionally done. Both countries produce incredible regenerative projects and work with local manufacturers committed to healthy materials,” says Living Future Oceania CEO Laura Hamilton-O’Hara.

“Becoming Living Future Oceania invites an even bigger opportunity to advocate collectively, learn together and strengthen our impact.”

Living Future Oceania looks forward to working alongside practitioners across the region to help catalyse a built environment that is socially just, culturally rich, and ecologically restorative.
