Luxury hospitality company Crystalbrook Collection’s first South Australian hotel, the 12-storey Crystalbrook Sam on Halifax Street in Adelaide’s southern precinct, has reached its full height, marking a major construction milestone ahead of its late 2026 opening.

Developed by Crystalbrook Collection in partnership with South Australian engineering and construction firm Samaras Group, the luxury hotel project has topped out following an intensive construction phase led by local builder BESIX Watpac. The build has drawn on Samaras Group’s steel fabrication capabilities and engaged more than 50 trade subcontractors and suppliers, collectively supporting a workforce of around 590 people to date.

With the main structure now complete, the project team is moving onto the next stage of delivery. Adelaide-based PACT Architects is working alongside the builder to transition from structural works to facade installation and the detailed interior fitout that will define the hotel’s design-led character.

Once complete, Crystalbrook Sam will introduce a new take on contemporary luxury hospitality to Adelaide through design-led accommodation, signature dining and elevated wellness experiences. Featuring 196 rooms and suites, the hotel’s offerings also comprise a rooftop restaurant on Level 12 designed to accommodate 120 patrons, and including private dining spaces and panoramic views across the CBD and towards the Adelaide Hills.

Wellness is also set to play a central role in the guest experience, with Crystalbrook’s Eléme Day Spa to be introduced to Adelaide for the first time. A gym, sauna and swimming pool complete the wellness package while the ground level will house a café and bar. Flexible meeting and event facilities will cater for more than 100 people across multiple meeting and conference spaces.
