Leading Australian coworking provider The Commons has expanded into the wellness sector with the launch of The Commons Health Club in Melbourne. Following the successful opening of the Richmond Health Club, the stage is now set for the launch of a second location in South Yarra, with both facilities integrating movement, recovery, workspaces and community across multiple levels in a design-led, all-in-one destination.

Spanning more than 5,000sqm across both club and coworking areas, The Commons Health Club features an expansive, full-floor gym, purpose-built studios hosting over 200 classes every week, a members’ lounge, dedicated workspaces, and a street-fronted café. The program ranges from Pilates, yoga, spin and strength training to more specialised sessions offering unique experiences including candlelit yin, Yamuna body rolling, sound healing, breathwork, aerobics, dance, and rebounding.

The science-backed wellness program integrates cutting-edge health assessments and personal training programs to optimise member performance and wellbeing. A strong focus on recovery and longevity underpins the offering, with facilities including infrared saunas, red light therapy and lymphatic treatments. The Bathhouse introduces hot and cold therapy featuring magnesium baths, cold plunge, traditional sauna, steam room and heated stone benches, with signature experiences designed to support both physical recovery and social connection.

The experience is further elevated through curated amenities such as styling stations, seasonal fragrance bar, premium bathroom products and private laundry services alongside a dedicated wellness concierge.

Designed in collaboration with DesignOffice, the interiors at both the Richmond and South Yarra locations feature a warm palette of cork, timber and concrete, combined with expressive colours and tactile finishes. An outdoor landscaped terrace linked to the yoga studio, a circular lounge, and open, interconnected social spaces support the community experience.

The launch signals a significant evolution for The Commons as it expands beyond coworking into a broader lifestyle offering, reshaping how people work, move and connect in urban environments.

The Commons Health Club, South Yarra will open on Saturday 28th March, and is set to become the largest social wellness club in Melbourne’s inner city.
