Construction is underway on the New Mandurah Hospital, a major health infrastructure project being built to expand healthcare capacity in Western Australia’s rapidly growing Peel region.

To be delivered by the Western Australian Government alongside joint venture partners Built and Sacyr, the new hospital is located next to the existing Peel Health Campus and will provide modern public healthcare facilities designed to respond to increasing demand from communities across the region.

The project marks the first major undertaking for the Built and Sacyr joint venture in Western Australia. Built brings extensive experience delivering healthcare infrastructure in Western Australia and nationally, while Sacyr contributes international experience across complex health and social infrastructure projects.

“Working alongside our Alliance partners, we're bringing together that local knowledge and capability, with international healthcare expertise to deliver a modern hospital safely, efficiently, and to the highest standard, while minimising disruption to the operational health precinct.”

Planning and preparation for construction were accelerated through an Early Contractor Involvement (ECI) phase. The Alliance model has enabled the project team to integrate design and construction expertise early, with digital engineering being used to improve coordination and streamline delivery.

The development is also expected to generate significant economic benefits for the region, with more than 2,000 direct and indirect jobs to be created throughout construction. The project will provide opportunities for Western Australian subcontractors, suppliers and other local businesses.

The New Mandurah Hospital is scheduled to open in early 2029.
