Bamboo Society of Australia summit to promote structural engineered bamboo
The Next Frontier Summit 25 aims to bridge existing gaps in the industry by bringing together leaders from diverse sectors to collaboratively create a 10-year roadmap for bamboo's integration into the Australian market.
The Bamboo Society of Australia is launching a national initiative to help promote structural engineered bamboo as a rapidly renewable solution to complement timber, address pressing supply chain challenges, and lay the foundations for a home-grown bamboo industry.
As part of The Next Frontier Summit 25, a series of events will be held in Brisbane, Sydney and Melbourne as well as online.
With the rising demand for renewable and high-performance building materials, engineered bamboo is gaining recognition as a viable, sustainable, high-strength solution globally. However, Australia hasn’t yet fully harnessed its potential despite having the capacity for growth, research, design, and manufacturing. In these uncertain times, it is crucial for the Australian industry to diversify, enhancing economic and environmental resilience.
This summit aims to bridge existing gaps in the industry by bringing together leaders from diverse sectors to collaboratively create a 10-year roadmap for bamboo's integration into the Australian market. Each event will promote bamboo as a solution for meeting growing material needs, complementing our timber resources, and positioning Australia at the forefront of sustainable innovation.
