Melbourne-based modular building company Grove says it has scaled up its production capacity to 1000 homes a year to meet the growing demand for smarter, faster housing solutions and is in discussions with major developers and financial institutions to fast-track scalable solutions for Australia’s residential housing market.

Grove CEO Brenton Grove says, “If we’re serious about tackling Australia’s biggest economic challenge – the provision of affordable housing – we need to build smarter, faster, and more sustainably. The old way simply won’t meet the scale of demand.”

Commenting on their 20-day turnaround assurance for delivering quality homes at scale, he says that it presents an opportunity to change the housing landscape and has applications in aged care, regional housing, and key worker accommodation sectors too.

“We’re able to achieve these timelines by leveraging the efficiency of offsite fabrication that allows multiple stages of a build to occur simultaneously, and because of the scale of our business, we have no shortage of labour or materials. We’re looking for developers and landowners who want to deliver at scale and get the jump on the market,” he adds.

In what is still considered a rarity in Australia, Grove is currently in talks with one of Australia’s Big 4 banks as well as an ASX-listed asset manager to explore opportunities in land lease applications.

“Grove is ready to take the next step—bringing our modular expertise into the residential space while continuing to serve our core segments,” he notes.
