The Architectural Science Association (ASA) is requesting research papers from the built environment community in a bid to spread holistic technical and design information that will benefit all.

The request coincides with the scheduling of the association’s 49th International Conference to be held in December at the Melbourne School of Design.

The ASA is requesting abstracts from original research papers to be handed in by March 23, and has encouraged researchers to dip into multidisciplinary realms and fields of knowledge.

“The theoretical and practical knowledge base that underpins architecture is of necessity cross-disciplinary; and for this reason submissions from multidisciplinary realms and fields of knowledge are particularly encouraged,” says the ASA.

The association has released a list of subjects to guide those contemplating submission; however they did reiterate that they are only suggestions.

Abstracts will be blind reviewed by the jury and those accepted will be invited to be developed into full papers due by June 22. Each submitted full paper will then be double-blind peer reviewed by members of the Scientific Committee before successful applicants are requested to submit a revised paper by September 28.

Final submissions will be published in the 2015 ASA conference proceedings titled Living and Learning: Research for a Better Built Environment. The conference will be held at The Melbourne School of Design, The University of Melbourne on December 2-4.
