Sydney-based architectural practice Turner recently announced the promotion of several senior staff members as part of its expansion plans.

Having experienced considerable success in project work over the last year, with staff numbers reaching nearly 100, the practice has now restructured its management team, beginning with the appointment of Karl May as Managing Director.

May has been associated with the firm since its inception in 2001, and has also worked with Turner’s founder and Principal Nick Turner since 1998. May recently returned from a two-year sabbatical in New York and plans to take Turner to the next level of growth.

May will be supported by a strengthened senior management including Dan Szwaj, Kevin Driver and Stephen Cox, who have been appointed Directors.

Additionally, Angus Henderson, Annraoi Morris, James McCarthy and Shewanna Mendis have been promoted to Associate Director; Carolina Alvarez, Cecilia Huang, Claudio Mantovani, Jason Goggi, Nick Higgins, Tony Stodart and Vanessa Saad have been promoted to Senior Associate; and Christian Tonnius, Claire Mallin, Gabriel Duque, Janene Fowlstone, Meike Tabel, Petra Magendanz and Yvette Olsen have all been promoted to Associate at Turner.
