Smartstone Athena was the product of choice for the designers of the Hume Street House in Melbourne, who sought a high end finish in the modern kitchen to match the material-rich furniture and fittings.
Design partners Sarah Healy and Ben Harris wanted the high end finish with a hint of heritage features that were appropriate to the era of the home and the suburb, to suit the contemporary kitchen well-equipped with all modern conveniences such as integrated fridges, high tech oven and induction cooktop.
Sarah Healy and Ben Harris chose Smartstone Athena to complement the dark navy cabinetry, brass handles, tapware, lighting, and French oak parquetry flooring. Smartstone Athena was also used on the splashback.
Part of Smartstone’s veined collection of stone surfaces, Athena is one of the more popular colours with its unique veining projecting the stunning and luminous appearance of natural stone.
