Global engineering company Aurecon was able to enhance workplace wellbeing at their Sydney office by introducing LED technology from Philips Lighting.

After more than 20 years, Aurecon sought to upgrade the inefficient legacy fittings in their Sydney office to achieve a Green Star Interiors PILOT rating of 4 Stars. Key goals included achieving workplace comfort, energy performance and sustainability to support their business and 450 employees into 2020 and beyond.

The Aurecon project team specified the Philips PowerBalance RC600B recessed LED luminaires for providing a perfect balance between energy efficiency and control. The lighting quality and uniformity, glare control and lux levels added to the comfort factor. The energy efficient LED luminaires have also made a significant contribution towards a potential Green Star rating for their office.

By introducing LED technology into their offices, Aurecon is benefitting from significant energy savings as well as increased flexibility to meet the day-to-day requirements of their staff. Aligning with Aurecon’s safety and environmental standards in the built environment and a focus on healthy working, the new workplace is now a reflection of the company’s own values of leadership in delivering global engineering design solutions.
