Surrounded by parklands and green open spaces, this development was to be an exhibition of possibilities for the builders Ironside, developers Glenvill Group and architects DKO. The 97 boutique apartments, designed for discerning homeowners, are a collaboration of exceptional design defined by generous spaces, elevated finishes and refined fixtures.
Layers of metalwork, timber and natural materials create a bold, earthy aesthetic.
The sophisticated interior palettes reference the rich heritage of the paper mill through the use of tactile materials. Buzon pedestals were used for the entire external communal podium area.
The innovative use of Buzon pedestals underpins the durability and functionality of the landscaped and community areas encompassing an area of 1100 square metres. Buzon pedestals, when used in conjunction with a compliant paving or flooring surface, provide a compliant solution for access by people with a disability.
The building needed to be delivered with a commitment to craftsmanship; therefore, Ironside’s dedication to detail was both a necessity and an opportunity to celebrate materiality.
