Prodema natural timber panels were part of the materiality chosen by FJMT for the Faculty of Law building on the University of Sydney campus.

FJMT was commissioned to design this noteworthy development following an international design competition. The project presented a unique opportunity to transform a key site into a powerful new campus identity and gateway.

The Faculty of Law building includes several industry-leading green features such as chilled beams, low VOC materials, Prodema panels made using timber sourced from sustainable forests, an onsite rainwater reuse system, and a building management system fully integrated with all building services.

Prodema was selected due to its low toxicity, life cycle analysis and zero ozone depletion potential. The natural timber façade also provides visual warmth to the workplace while making an impactful design statement.

Since completion in 2008-2009, the project has received numerous honours including AIA awards for Architecture, Urban Design and Sustainability.
