Maxton Fox turned to solar energy to power their manufacturing facility in Western Sydney.
Established more than 50 years ago, the plant has evolved over the years in line with the company’s growth. During this period, Maxton Fox has purchased and installed over 30 large-scale industrial machines, which run on a daily basis for more than 8 hours a day, with some of these even running automatically overnight.
Given the scale of their energy consumption, the management team at the company decided to harness the power of the sun using the advanced solar panel technology available today. The location in Western Sydney meant that the factory received direct sunlight every single day of the year. This presented them with an opportunity to transform from a company that uses energy off the grid to becoming a company that gives energy back to the grid.
Working with Kuga Electrical, Maxton Fox installed 1,000 panels across their entire factory roof with the set-up, cable laying and installation process taking three months.
Maxton Fox’s manufacturing is now completely powered by the sun.
