Knauf Triton Sound Clouds were part of the materials palette used during the renovation of the popular City of Stirling Library in WA.

Designed by Evoke Interior Design, the 2019 renovation project saw the installation of Knauf Asona Sound Clouds in the library’s reading area.

Fifteen circular Triton Sound Clouds of different colours and sizes were suspended from the ceiling and frame at various depths, creating an interesting and warm aesthetic with the existing natural timber and providing a performance acoustic buffer.

Some of the Clouds have also utilised LED lighting to uplight the ceiling from the back of the units.

Suspended over the young adults’ reading area, the Sound Clouds provide very high acoustic absorption of NRC 1.00, softening and greatly reducing inevitable voices to an acceptable level to minimise any disturbance to other facility users.
