Shure introduces the Microflex wireless, their latest offering in wireless microphone systems. Microflex wireless (MX wireless) is a digital wireless system operating in the licence-free 1.9GHz band designed specifically for corporate boardrooms, lecture theatres and teleconference systems.

MX wireless features true high quality digital audio transmission and supports military grade AES-256 bit encryption to ensure security of transmitted content. All components feature networked monitoring and control plus Dante digital audio delivery to ensure compatibility with the corporate IP network infrastructure.

Operating in the license-free 1.9GHz band, Microflex wireless is free of ‘digital dividend’ frequency coordination issues associated with broadcast band devices and is capable of supporting up to 40 transmitters per room.

There are seven main components in the family. Systems can be assembled using combinations of these components to best meet the required application.

MXW1 Hybrid Body Pack Transmitter

Supporting either external lavaliere style microphone via industry standard TA4 connector, or internal omnidirectional microphone enabling standalone operation, the transmitter offers encrypted digital audio transmission and an audible out of range alert. The MXW1 is equipped with rechargeable Li-ion batteries, programmable mute button and ear phone jack for return audio.

MXW2 Handheld Transmitter

Featuring interchangeable microphone heads, the MXW2 supports all Shure capsules and provides real time remote control of transmitter parameters via web based GUI. Features also include encrypted digital audio transmission, rechargeable Li-ion batteries, audible out of range alert, and programmable mute button.

MXW6 Boundary Transmitter

Available in omnidirectional or cardioid coverage patterns, this transmitter offers encrypted digital audio transmission, rechargeable Li-ion batteries, audible out of range alert, programmable mute button and ear phone jack for return audio.

MXW8 Gooseneck Base Transmitter

The MXW8 accepts standard 5”, 10” or 15” Microflex series gooseneck microphones. In addition to encrypted digital audio transmission, rechargeable Li-ion batteries, audible out of range alert, and programmable mute button, this transmitter is available with a wide variety of polar patters and LED indicator options.

MXWAPT4/ MXWAPT8 Access Point Transceivers

The low profile wall/ ceiling mounted transceivers (receivers) provide bi-directional audio and control to MXW series transmitters. Available in four channel (MXWAPT4) or eight channel (AXWAPT8) versions, the transceivers provide direct Ethernet connection via Cat5e cable. The PoE powered transceiver also offers Dante digital audio output for direct connection to Dante equipped receivers such as Shure SC820 or MXWANI4/ MXWANI8. Network control and monitoring is also enabled via web based GUI.

MXWANI4/ MXWANI8 Audio Network Interface

The Dante D2A interface connects to analogue audio inputs and outputs, and is not required if direct connections to Dante devices are utilised. Available in four channel (MXWANI4) or eight channel (MXWANI8) versions, the interface offers four port gigabit switches for connection to MXWAPT4/MXWAPT8 transceivers. Features also include front panel control and headphone output for test and monitoring.

MXWNCS4/ MXWNCS8 Networked Charging Station

Designed to suit all versions of MXW transmitters, the docking charging station is available in four port (MXWNCS4) or eight port (MXWNCS8) versions. Transmitters can be recharged without removing the batteries. Full network based remote monitoring of connected devices is allowed.

Microflex Wireless delivers true flexibility in an intuitive easy-to-use form factor without the compromise in audio quality that has plagued corporate wireless systems of the past.
