Belgian manufacturer Basalte has announced that their flagship keypad, Fibonacci is now shipping for KNX and Crestron control systems. Basalte is reputed in the market for their luxury controls, apps, speakers and more, designed for the intelligent home.
For the first time in over a decade, Basalte has introduced a new flagship keypad, Fibonacci, with its avant-garde design raising the bar in the integrated controls market.
Similar to Basalte’s multifunctional Sentido, the new touch-sensitive keypad also integrates with KNX and Crestron systems to intuitively control lights, shades, temperature, music and more. In addition to supporting single and long press actions as well as multi-touch functions, Fibonacci features an integrated RGB LED, temperature sensor and thermostat logic (KNX only) as well as high-end premium Basalte metal finishes that can either blend into the interior decor or stand out as a true design statement.
The Fibonacci keypad easily installs on single-gang European, New Zealand and Australian back boxes or the American wall box, making it a great fit for both new construction and retrofit projects. Key features also include customisable backlit laser-engraved labels to clearly indicate each button's functionality, and integrated proximity sensor that enables the keypad’s labels to elegantly light up on approach.
Fibonacci’s avant-garde looks are inspired by the golden ratio, a well-known architectural concept that is easy on the eye, represents natural beauty and can elevate even the most sophisticated home interiors. This ratio is derived from the famous row of numbers by the Italian mathematical genius Fibonacci, which also inspired the keypad’s name.
