Cedro herringbone floor

As the first step in this West Village residence transformation, Cochineal Design began by enhancing the original features – high ceilings, large windows, a wood ceiling beam and a beautiful iron column, all circa 1930. In honour of the era, new design elements are consciously Art Deco-inspired.

Cochineal Design brings a design-forward approach to their projects, with a respect for history, giving each space timeless and considered sensibilities.

Havwoods HW3280F Cedro herringbone floors, mixed metal hardware, statement marble and rich tones exude a cleverly combined modern-vintage allure. These bold style choices are balanced with soft, cream-coloured furnishings and custom, minimalist millwork. The result is an engaging, cohesive space that is also functional.
