Hafele Australia presents the Conturo from Festool, a new handheld edge bander designed for easily edging straight surfaces, curves, radii, convex and concave shapes as well as internal corners.

Suitable for machining all types of wood, plastic or melamine edging with a height of 18 – 65 mm and edge thickness of 0.5 – 3.0 mm (depending on the material), the KA 65 handheld edge banders are ideal for shaped parts and small batches. The Conturo delivers the perfect edge quality, even in combination with system accessories.

Conturo handheld edge banders find use in affixing wooden, plastic or laminated plastic edging to panel materials; and attaching edging to simple rectangular components or more complex free forms. The adhesive melts according to requirements without boiling, discolouring or deteriorating, which is a major advantage. Weighing about 7.9kg, the KA 65 is ideal for mobile applications and can be used for rapidly reworking edges on site.

Some of the advantages of Conturo’s KA 65 handheld edge banders include clean and efficient cartridge gluing system; stationary application for greater versatility; easy handling with perfect ergonomics and clear view of the work piece; easy to clean nozzle system; and machine housing able to resist heating up, allowing safe work.
