When approached by long time Sydney city dwellers, Tino Mercado and Craig McCallum, in June 2010 to turn their Blue Mountains property into a French provincial boutique hotel, Christophe Living were honoured to be given free reign with their range of French provincial furniture and finishes.

For a long time, Tino and Craig had shared the dream of creating a French provincial boutique hotel in the Blue Mountains, and it seemed like fate that as they were becoming tired of their fast paced city lifestyle they stumbled upon Falls House, the perfect foundation on which to build their dream retreat.

Christophe Living's brief was to create not only a beautiful and unique interior with French provincial furniture and finishes, but also a restful experience for the guest. The boutique hotel, Villa Athena, is comprised of the studio suite and two stable suites.

Described as the more extravagant of the three suites, the studio suite's decor is richly warm but not overwhelming. It features a signature Louis XVI hand carved and painted four poster king bed; the epitome of luxurious French furniture, and the windows overlooking the Athena garden are finished with beautiful toile swags to depict rose covered arches.

Keeping true to the theme, Christophe Living used beautiful French provincial furniture and furnishings from their extensive and unique range to create a relaxed and comfortable setting where guests could recuperate and rejuvenate.
