A new edition of the guide to concrete construction, the definitive text for designers, specifiers and builders that covers everything from what ingredients go into concrete to specifying, ordering, testing and best site practices has been released by Standards Australia .

The new edition has been rewritten by the Cement and Concrete Association of Australia to bring it into line with all relevant and current Australian Standards.”The Standards have an important bearing on all aspects of concrete construction, so it’s important that users have the most current edition,” says the C&CCA’s Dr Samia Guirguis. “For some users it will provide all the information they need, while for others it will serve as a sound introduction.”

One of the benefits of the guide is that it explains not just how to undertake procedures such as compacting and curing but why they are important.
