Brickworks Building Products presents a new range of stylish bricks by Bowral Bricks, made with clay sourced from the Southern Highlands of New South Wales. Striking and tactile, the Bowral Highlands bricks embrace variance in both colour and texture, expertly blended by master brick makers.

Brett Ward, general manager of international marketing at Brickworks, says, “At Brickworks, we pride ourselves on offering innovative building solutions and the Bowral Highlands range does just that with its unique tonality and expressive façade.”

Crafted to harmoniously bring together classical form and extraordinary aesthetics, these stylish bricks reinterpret traditional style, pushing the boundary on the texture and colour typically seen on bricks. As an ode to the origins of the range, each colourway is named after an area within the Southern Highlands, alluding to their intrinsically Australian character. Innately tactile, this range is available in eight distinct shades allowing for ample versatility to a range of different home and architectural styles.

Bowral Highlands

With a large variety of colourways, Bowral Highlands offers shades that morph from light to dark, employing marbled contrast to create an eye-catching, visually textured finish. Meryla, Penrose, Wingello, Natti and Woodlands incorporate prominent blended markings for distinct colour variance, while Jellore, Bangadilly and Tarlo offer a polychromatic effect, developing a checkered character rather than a marbled quality.

Natti provides a strong contrast with sandy cream tones peeking through burnt umber hues. Visually striking and embodying a natural contemporary quality, this colourway would make a stunning feature wall. The other three shades that engage the same blended effect offer softer alternatives. Meryla, a smoked grey, has markings that mimic natural stone, while Wingello incorporates the traditional red-brick aspect. Penrose and Woodlands, two dappled, earthy shades aid in grounding a space with their essence of nature.

Bangadilly, the darkest of the colourways, features deep mahoganies and charcoal tones, producing a moody yet warm brickwork façade. Bronze hues are introduced with Tarlo, incorporating tinges of chestnut and caramel, bringing warmth and golden tinges to a space. The last colourway, Jellore, ties the range together with its simplicity and traditional muted chocolate accents.

The Bowral Highlands range is a masterful yet tactile reimagining of the diverse Australian landscape. Suitable for a range of different architectural designs, the Bowral Highlands bricks speak of strength, versatility and authenticity.
