Leading Australian provider of thermal and architectural building solutions, Bondor has released its Building Information Modelling (BIM) product library package to assist architects, engineers and builders conceptualise designs using the company’s insulated panel systems.

According to Bondor National Sales Manager Glen Roberts, specifying and modelling projects had become much easier with the launch of the BIM concept. Bondor’s BIM product library package would further simplify the process for specifiers incorporating these innovative panelling systems into projects.

Mr Roberts explains that insulated panel construction delivers cost, time and efficiency savings over traditional builds. For instance, a single layer of insulated panel can replace frames, support, additional linings and multiple layers of bulk insulation in most cases.

Users can access Bondor’s product library via BIM to easily integrate a range of wall and roof panel systems into their projects from the concept stage or substitute Bondor materials into existing models. They can extract drawings and objects from Bondor’s extensive library and adapt panel orientation, colour and profile to bring each concept to life, while ensuring each product is suitable to the project.

Bondor’s BIM product library has been developed in partnership with 3D software companies GRAPHISOFT and A2K Technologies. Bondor’s product range has been developed in both ArchiCAD and Autodesk Revit as these two programs hold exclusive share of the market space.

The ArchiCAD and Autodesk Revit library files and a detailed tutorial on the program are available on Bondor’s website.
