700 Haus is an energy-efficient and light-filled farmhouse in Trentham East, Victoria that blends in with the surroundings while celebrating the beautiful views from multiple directions.
Designed by Glow Design based on the brief from the clients, the house, which is located at an elevation of 700 metres is built to withstand heavy winds and rainfall, and delivers a comfortable living experience to the residents in an environment that’s mostly cold for a major part of the year.
The design lines up various viewpoints on the land with most of the home’s timber framed windows situated on the eastern, western and southern aspects. All windows, doors and skylights are double or triple glazed to ensure thermal comfort for the family.
