The redeveloped Rundle Mall Plaza in Adelaide welcomes visitors with a stunning double height ceiling featuring a striking pattern created using Au.diBeam panels from Atkar Group.

Designed by Hames Sharley Architects and built by Hansen Yucken, the redevelopment of Rundle Mall, which originally opened in 1976, pays homage to its rich history, while showcasing the very best in modern architecture and design.

The newly-redeveloped Rundle Mall offers an impressive 15,000 square metres of floor space spread over four floors. It’s a tech hub, fashion and dining precinct, all housed in a dynamic retail space in the heart of the bustling Adelaide city.

The entry into this iconic building makes an instant impression with a flood of natural light and views of Rundle Mall street. Double height ceilings draw your attention up to the three-dimensional effect of Au.diBeam ceiling panels in a unique zig-zag pattern, delivering a contemporary, modern and fresh vibe. This custom solution showcases the versatility of Au.diBeam products.

The finish in Inluxe Colour (premium two-pack paint) in white ensures the space isn’t overwhelming; rather it focuses on architectural detailing using shape and line.

Masterclass in retail design

Rundle Mall Plaza features a mostly light and bright colour palette using textures and shapes rather than colour to create interest. Large pillars wrapped in light marble tiles and gold trim used throughout the space offer a high-end feel.

Dark grey marble styled floor tiles with matte black detailing give depth to the space without compromising on its core palette.
