ASP Access Floors was engaged by Lendlease to install access flooring systems at their three International Towers that stand at the entrance to the Barangaroo Commercial Precinct.

ASP Access Floors executed the massive installation comprising 300,000 square metres of general office use steel cementitious ultra fix and high pressure laminate rigid grid systems, while meeting the project’s sustainable design goals. Completed in 2015, the Barangaroo South installation would become the largest access flooring project ever undertaken in Australia.

ASP Access Floors received CarboNZero and CEMARS Certification in response to the work they undertook at Barangaroo. The designs for the International Towers Sydney were to achieve a minimum 5 Star NABERS Energy rating and 6 Star Green Star Office Design and As Built (V3) Rating. ASP’s products with their low VOC and high recycled material content, helped meet these environmental objectives.

ASP’s access floor systems used in the Barangaroo project included steel cementitious ultra fix system with a 3.0Kn loading at 150mm FFH; steel cementitious HPL rigid grid system with a 4.5kN loading at 150mm FFH; steel cementitious HPL rigid grid system with a 6.0kN loading at 150mm FFH; and calcium sulphate interlock system at 150mm FFH.

Greater adaptability from ASP’s 150mm access floors allowed easy reconfiguration of work areas for fitout flexibility and connectivity.
