Artemide Australia presents a new range of table lamps crafted using
traditional glass-blowing techniques and combined with the latest LED technology.
Available in Australia for the first time through Artemide, the new
Empatia LED table lamps are truly unique and stunning, and inspired by Carlotta
de Bevilacqua and Paola di Arianello’s exploration of glass-blowing traditions
and the advanced LED technology used by Artemide.
Empatia table lamps showcase the intense design collaboration with
master glass blowers, who have succeeded in harnessing the subtleties of
Venetian glass to produce a unique balance of density and transparency.
Handmade by master craftsmen, each Empatia table lamp is a unique
creation. A glass blower is responsible for forming each individual domed
diffuser and providing the desired transparency and opacity, to reflect light
without glare or losing efficiency.
A high-performance LED-based light source lies at the core of the lamp, controlling
output to provide maximum yield, while directing light towards the glass
diffuser via a transparent pipe.
Empatia table lamps are available in three power and size configurations:
Empatia 16 (14W, dia 160mm), Empatia 26 (21W, dia 260mm) and Empatia 36 (28W,
dia 360mm).
