Mean Well has announced a change notification for one of its power
supplies.
Mean Well has changed the design of the ASP-150 power supply model due to
the discontinuation of a specific component used in its manufacture.
Henceforth, instead of control IC part# TEA1552, Mean Well’s ASP-150 power
supply will use control IC part# NCP1380. This also means that control IC part#
TDA4863 has been replaced with part# L6562.
While this design revision will only lead to minor changes in the
electrical specifications, the power supply’s compatibility for some end
systems may need to be re-confirmed.
Exclusive Mean Well power supply distributor in Australia, ADM Instrument Engineering has already informed customers who have been buying the ASP-150
model. The product label has been changed to identify parts with the new
revision.
