ABB-free@home wireless added a new accolade to their list of achievements in 2020 with a win at the 14th NAN Architecture and Construction Awards. The NAN Awards recognise the best projects and building materials of the sector in Spain.

The ABB-free@home wireless system was a winner for Niessen within the electricity, electronics, lighting and home automation category at the 2020 edition of the awards held as a virtual ceremony in December last year. Part of the ABB group, the Niessen brand aims to increase the comfort, efficiency and safety of homes through intelligent automated solutions.

Eighteen awards were given to the best architectural projects and building materials from a total of 275 projects and more than a hundred materials entered in the program. In addition to rewarding the quality and innovation of materials, initiatives related to sustainability and energy efficiency were also recognised.

Idoia Matas, head of communication – ABB Electrification received the award. “It is an important recognition for the Niessen brand in the field of Architecture and Construction, since at ABB we are working to make buildings smart, safe and sustainable through innovation.”

The NAN Award is the second award that ABB-free@home has won in 2020. In August the ABB-free@home app Next earned a respected Red Dot Award for the design of its user interface.
