Australia’s urban population is increasingly being pushed closer to bushfire prone areas. The awareness and understanding of building loss through bushfire has become a high priority with authorities and researchers.
Xtreme has been tested by CSIRO to BAL—40 and BAL—FZ, which is fully compliant to AS1530.8.1 and AS1530.8.2 within AS3959—2009. This standard applies to products that can meet the highest bushfire conditions, such as direct exposure to flames, heat flux and ember attack.
These developments are a result of Trend®’s extensive research, development and testing with CSIRO over the past five years. All of which have been conducted aiming to develop cost affordable window and door systems and create Australia’s first fully integrated flame zone bushfire system.
