Carr has bolstered its leadership team with the elevation of Sam Stefanou to Associate.

The promotion furthers the architectural expertise amongst its leadership team. Carr says as it begins its sixth decade operating as a practice that the architectural team must maintain quality leaders to allow it to flourish.

“Sam’s recent achievement delivering Heyington Place, Toorak, for property developers, Sterling Global, is among her major projects completed to date. As a boutique, high-end multi-residential project, this further adds to her completed portfolio of Carr projects,” says Carr Managing Director Chris McCue.

“This, along with Sam’s ongoing contribution to developing and mentoring the younger members of our team, have proven her to be a vital part to Carr’s success, and we congratulate her on her elevation.”

Stefanou says that the leadership role comes with its fair share of authority and influence which she believes she is prepared to handle.

“I’m motivated by the responsibility we have as architects in creating positive outcomes for people, whole communities, and our environment.”

With over a decade of design experience, Stefanou initially began her studies in visual arts. The overlap between art and architecture led to a career transition, giving her creative interests purpose and meaning.

Delivering projects is very much a creative outlet for Stefanou, who possesses strong problem solving skills to enrich the experience of everyday life. Carr says the new Associate values the whole design process and sees each phase as vital to a project’s success. The early stages of the design process see Stefanou form a strong and clear design brief with clients and stakeholders that anchors all projects she is involved within.

With a number of projects currently in the works, Carr believes the strengthening of its leadership team will lead to state-of-the-art developments overseen by superior leadership. For more information, visit www.carr.net.au.
