Recently, IWBI collaborated with Architecture & Design and served as a strategic partner for the 2025 Sustainability Awards in Sydney to elevate awareness of design for health as a core pillar in sustainability.

Globally, key initiatives include the IWBI Healthy Building Policy Summit in Washington, D.C., and the launch of the Global Commission on Healthy Indoor Air during Climate Week at the United Nations in September 2025, in collaboration with the Australian Academy of Science and with support from leading voices on healthy indoor air including but not limited to Dr. Lidia Morawska, a Distinguished Professor and Australian Laureate Fellow in the School of Earth and Atmospheric Sciences at the Queensland University of Technology (QUT).

Another example of IWBI’s advocacy initiatives in the Climate Resilience WELL Summit in Tokyo in 2025 which created a platform for knowledge exchange, best practices, and reimagining a shared, resilient future for the region.
