A custom engineered solution from EnduroMax designed to overcome environmental challenges has been installed along the Townsville Ring Road to protect local residents. The compliant noise wall was required to shield a new community development in Bohle Plains, Townsville.

Residents of the Kalynda Chase development needed to be shielded from the noise arising out of their close proximity to the Townsville Ring Road. The development required a QLD MRTS15 compliant noise wall that performed acoustically; the solution also needed to overcome the environmental conditions of high winds and floods.

Custom engineered EnduroMax solution

EnduroMax was the clear choice since it was already preapproved by the Queensland Department of Transport and Main Roads. Overcoming the multitude of environmental challenges, the custom engineered solution was installed to a height of 4.9m, spanning over 700m of undulating, flood-prone land in Wind Region C. Fitted within the GuardianWall noise wall system, the solution also offered industrial-grade durability and 50-plus years of design life, ensuring long-term project performance.

The EnduroMax solution was also able to meet the aesthetic objectives of the development, which promised boutique, stylish living, with beautifully landscaped parks and playgrounds. The smooth, modern finish of the EnduroMax panels offered an elegant aesthetic to the barrier, painted in a fresh, bright white.

EnduroMax is an ultra-high impact resistant, high-performance range of modular noise wall panels from Modular Walls. EnduroMax panels are almost as durable as concrete but available at a lower cost along with the assurance of simple installation thanks to their low weight and modular structure.
