DMF International custom-designed a traffic door solution for the operating theatre at the Sydney South West Private Hospital.
Since the operating theatre used laser equipment, the see-through windows on the traffic doors needed to be shielded when the laser was in action. DMF suggested a traffic door design that securely housed Venetian blinds within double glazed windows. The blinds could be opened and closed from an external control.
DMF’s traffic doors did not lose their heavy duty design or 180-degree swing action, and were still able to accommodate the heavy movement of equipment and beds. Featuring door panels made from tough ABS with heavy duty polyethylene (PE) bumpers, the traffic doors were custom-made to size for this application.
