ADM Instrument Engineering announces the launch and availability of a
new range of medical power supplies from Mean Well designed to address the need
for a high performance 120 watt power supply.
Mean Well’s GSM120B desktop medical series power supplies carry medical
safety certification in accordance with the third edition of IEC60601-1, giving
two means of patient protection (2 x MOPP).
Recommended for any application involving medical devices that come into
contact with patients, the GSM120B is a class II unit (no Frame Ground) and is
constructed from UL 94V-0 level flame retardant plastic case, which effectively
prevents any shock hazard.
Key features of Mean Well’s GSM120B medical power supplies include ultra-low
leakage current of < 100μA; high efficiency rating of up to 91.5%; no load
power consumption of less than 0.15W; compliance with ErP step 2 (European
Union) and EISA 2007 (Energy Independence and Security Act of 2007) of USA; and
full range input of 80~264VAC and various DC output voltages ranging from 12VDC
to 48VDC.
Mean Well’s GSM120B desktop medical series power supplies are suitable
for diverse applications in mobile clinical workstations, oral irrigators,
portable haemodialysis machines, breathing machines, medical display monitors,
automated clinical chemistry analysers and any medical equipment application
requiring a low leakage current.
Classed as ‘prescribed electrical equipment’ in Australia, the new power
supply will be supplied by ADM after carrying out the necessary safety testing
and certification for customers with OEM projects.
The GSM120B is supplied by ADM complete with C-Tick.
