The 2013 National Association of Women in Construction (NAWIC) NSW Chapter Awards for Excellence has recognised the achievements of various women from across the construction industry.
From rising stars to established leaders, the winners were announced on Thursday 22 August at the Sydney Convention and Exhibition Centre.
Established in 1995, NAWIC is a not-for-profit organisation with a mission to raise the profile of women in the construction industry. To advance opportunities for women, the organisation hosts networking events and education seminars, funds scholarships, as well as run an annual awards program.
For the 2013 NSW Chapter Awards, Sandra Triulzi, Diversity Manager of Lend Lease (formerly Abigroup), was presented with the prestigious Laing O’Rourke Crystal Vision Award.
“Sandra has devoted her 25 year career to designing, developing, implementing and influencing policy that benefits women in the workplace, and in particular women in the construction industry,” says NAWIC’s NSW Chapter President, Angela Ferguson.
“Sandra has been an influential change agent in our industry, and her work to establish networks and implement supportive policies has had a far-reaching impact on women in our industry.”
