The search is on for Australia’s ultimate green interior project with the entries for the Green Interior Awards now open.

Created by Australian Living, a sustainable building consultancy dedicated to spreading the awareness of the benefits associated with green buildings inside and out, the awards are about shining a light on those who use green interior products in their projects.

Australian Living marketing and communications manager Anthony Lieberman says, “It is important for industry professionals and the general public to choose interior products that are healthy for people and the environment. We all deserve to work, live, eat, play, shop and learn in healthy spaces.”

Awards categories include Corporate Culture Office, Taubmans Residential, Retail, Hospitality, Education and Aged Care.

Judges for the awards will be Shaynna Blaze, co-presenter of the Lifestyle Channel’s Selling Houses Australian and judge on Channel 9’s The Block; Kate St James, FDIA, interior designer and editor-in-chief of Home Design magazine; Daphna Tal, sustainable interiors consultant at Australia Living; Mark Lynch, national commercial team lead at Taubmans; and Richard Munao, founder of Corporate Culture & Cult.

Entries are now open and will close on 23 May, 2014 with projects completed between 2011 to 2014 eligible. Winners will be announced at an awards function in Sydney on 19 June, 2014.
