For the professional development of the Architecture and Built Environment community, Making Demands is a three hour session that incorporates a moderated panel discussion led by Siobhan Toohill, followed by practical workshop sessions to interrogate the challenges across public and private sectors, unpacking the rapidly changing nature of architecture, the built environment and urbanism.

Proudly presented in partnership with Parlour: women, equity, architecture and Australian Institute of Landscape Architects(AILA), The Gold Club is a guild of pivotal women in Australian design.

Drawing on the expertise of a stellar line-up including Fiona Foley, Shelley Penn, Clare Sowden and Barbara Schaffer, Making Demands is a live conversation addressing the working concerns of the architecture industry. By uncovering these concerns across the realms of public art, urban renewal, architectural leadership and cultural value, the aim of the event is to awaken our expectations of multidisclipinary design, and motivate pragmatic and inspired responses within our city.
