Raising the bar: Glazing performance for residential buildings under the National Construction Code energy reforms
Regulators are undertaking a significant overhaul of the National Construction Code (NCC) in 2022 to stipulate more stringent requirements on residential building materials such as floors, walls and especially glazing. These reforms have the effect of increasing thermal performance requirement for homes, essentially taking the current NatHERS equivalent energy rating from 6 to 7 stars.
