Sustainability Live is a panel event that will be held on 11 October, at The Star in Sydney. It will take the form of six Q&A panels and one debate, led by experts in sustainable building and design.

The fifth panel of the day will ask the question, “What are the solutions to the state of modern slavery in AEC supply chains?”

The United Nations estimates that more than 45 million people are entrapped in modern slavery across the world. Australian companies that work in the Architecture, Engineering and Construction sectors can take steps to mitigate the risks of modern slavery, on their own sites and operations, and in their supply chains.

Confirmed panellists include Nicole Thompson, senior sustainability consultant at Edge Environment, Jacqui Wagar, sustainability leader at Stylecraft and David Baggs, CEO and program director of Global Green Tag. The panel will be moderated by Robin Mellon, CEO of the Supply Chain Sustainability School (SCSS).

The full list of panellists will be announced soon.
