Officially launched by His Royal Highness in November, 2015, dignitaries from the Prince’s Charities Australia toured The Prince’s Terrace Adelaide site, which is the first project in Australia to achieve a 6 Star Green Star design rating from the Green Building Council of Australia.

The Prince’s Terrace has been designed to encapsulate world leadership in sustainable residential design and innovation whilst maintaining a traditional architectural mix of terraces and mews.

This project is a pioneering collaboration between leading residential developer,  Defence Housing Australia (DHA), Renewal SA and the Prince’s Foundation for building community and these homes are predicted to use 50% less energy and 50% less potable water than a typical urban townhouse with a carbon footprint reduced by more than 40% when compared to a standard house.

This project is part of the Bowden precinct of Adelaide, a re-emerging inner city suburb blending history, culture, sustainability and community into a smarter way to live.

The DHA and the Prince’s Foundation share many values and principles around sustainability, design, structure and use of materials in residential design and the purpose of the collaboration is to bring the lessons learnt from the successful Prince’s Foundation projects in the UK to the Australian market.

Palumbo Building Group of Adelaide was awarded this prestigious contract for their unique design. ZEGO Building Systems was nominated as the supplier of the ZEGO FireFORM Insulated Concrete Formwork for its superior insulation and structural integrity.
