Several door and window systems from Wideline were specified for an upscale retirement villa development in Tumbi Umbi, NSW.

Set on expansive grounds against stunning natural surroundings, Glengara Retirement Village with its deluxe villas evokes the style and elegance of a luxury retreat.

The $22-million expansion of the retirement village involved the construction of a 70-bed apartment block that would set a new standard, creating beautiful residences with quality support. Multi-award winning company Stevens Constructions, which was reputed for their building excellence in a wide range of commercial projects, was chosen by the client, Retire Australia Management to design and construct the facility.

An essential aspect of the project involved two main stairway windows.

After a rigorous cost engineering process, a solution was found to segment the glazing from the silicone jointed curved windows. This not only substantially reduced the cost of the project but also preserved the architect’s vision for this aspect of the design.

Wideline products installed in the expansion project included Paragon range Fixedlite windows, sliding doors and entry doors, and Ascend range sliding windows and awning windows featuring 6.38mm ComfortPlus Grey glazing and Dulux Woodland Grey Satin finish.
