Viridian is pleased to announce the opening of its 2012 Vision Awards which celebrate and promote the energy efficient and innovative use of glass in Australian architecture.

The 2012 awards differ from previous years in that the category prize structure has been revised and a new 'Overall Vision Award Winner' category has been added.

The lucky winner of the Overall Vision Award Winner will enjoy a trip to Venice, and secure 2 x Vernissage Passes to the 2012 Venice Architecture Biennale, one of the most important events on the international contemporary architecture calendar. This is all courtesy of Viridian and the Australian Institute of Architects (AIA).

The Vernissage is a three day opening of the Venice Architecture Biennale that precedes the public opening. Passes to this three day even are not available to be purchased and are only allocated to media and the organisers of participating countries.

The Vision Awards will be presented during the AIA's 2012 National Architecture Conference, which is set to be held in Brisbane from 12 to 12 May 2012.
