A solar control fabric from Verosol Australia was installed on the glass facade of Barangaroo Tower 3, helping the office building achieve its sustainability objectives.
Located at 200 Barangaroo Ave, Barangaroo, NSW, Tower 3 is an office building designed by Rogers Stirk Harbour & Partners and Lendlease. Standing 168 metres tall, the Barangaroo Tower 3 offers flexible and modern workspaces across 39 levels. Tower 3 was awarded a 6 Star Green Star rating by the Green Building Council of Australia (GBCA).
The glass facade required a sustainable solution for solar control, helping reduce the temperature inside the building during the harsh Australian weather conditions.
Verosol’s Silverscreen 205 G1 fabric was introduced as part of a motorised system for the tower’s glass facade. Featuring a thermal and reflective aluminium backing, Silverscreen 205 was specified for its high solar reflectance, achieving an impressive 76% - 78% outside reflection. The sustainable, flame retardant and energy efficient solar control fabric was supplied in Dark Grey colour.
