Urbanline Architectural has added a brilliant new colour to its premium composite cladding range with an aim to address the popular design trend of minimalism.

Named after the African Ebony species, a rare and expensive black hardwood on the verge of extinction, the new colour from Urbanline Architectural provides more scope for sleek, on-trend designs without potentially high ecological and financial costs, says Managing Director Brenden Parker.

Brenden explains that a key objective of introducing the new colour in their cladding range is to enable designers to reproduce the timber’s elegant, distinctive look without harming the species.

Urbanline has introduced the African Ebony colour in its Euro Selekta Clad range of high-performance composite cladding. Euro Selekta Clad is a perfect substitute for timber, with the unique, pre-finished facade panel featuring a beautiful timber-grain embossed surface.

Euro Selekta Clad composite cladding combines its beautiful aesthetics with multiple functional benefits including high stability and longevity, eco-friendly and maintenance-free material, and easy installation. Meeting the group fire rating standard AS/NZ 3837, Euro Selekta Clad is also a practical and safe choice.

According to Brenden, Euro Selekta Clad combines the functional, cost-effective benefits of composite cladding with high-end design options and creative possibilities. For instance, ‘charred’ black panels can be complemented by pops of colour, contrasting cladding in the same range, or remain uniformly black for real urban cool.
