Slotted veneer panels with an acoustic backing from Ultraflex Panelling were selected for the interiors of a new restaurant at Mt Druitt TAFE NSW.
Ultraflex’s slotted veneer panels with an acoustic backing and a low VOC non-yellowing clear polyurethane finish were selected for the application not only to provide acoustic performance and aesthetic appeal but also to ensure the air-conditioning system located above the panels would not blast cold air directly on the people seated below.
Instead, the specially machined slots in these panels disperse the chilled air without using diffusers, ensuring the look of the ceiling is not affected.
About 80 square metres of Ultraflex’s veneer panels were used in this application.
