The INEX>RENDERBOARD wall system from UBIQ was selected by the builder for the first floor addition to a home in Bronte, NSW.

The architect on the project specified a lightweight construction rendered finish to the first floor extension of this Bronte home. CHBR Building Pty Ltd, the builder, selected INEX>RENDERBOARD for its superior quality and ease of construction. In this particular application, UBIQ’s construction board was used on a timber frame.

Commonly available lightweight construction boards for render coatings do not meet performance or finish objectives. These boards are not only dimensionally unstable but can also deliver a poor finish to the building.

UBIQ’s INEX>RENDERBOARD wall system at 16mm thick provides a lightweight but solid substrate for multiple render coat systems. The tongue and groove profile allows all the sheets to lock together.

According to builder Simon Haramlambotoulos, the tongue and groove profile was a deciding factor as it gave him the confidence that the render cracking problems common in other boards would be avoided in INEX>RENDERBOARD.

UBIQ’s INEX>RENDERBOARD wall system, when used with minimum 13mm steel on a timber or steel frame achieves FRL of 60/60/60 and BAL-FZ fire resistance ratings. No fire rated plasterboard or fire rated sealant is required for these systems.
